The Intellectualism of Stupidity (Requiem)

As violence fills our streets, the shouts of angry decadents spewing the reasoning for their debased acts are simply the outer rotting layers to the cancer that lies beneath. Generations of youths without a family structure to instill a code of decency, law, and order. Angrily they are tearing down the structure they have been taught to hate, while no one is doing anything to protect the foundation that holds it up. More quickly now, we are pulled towards the ghosts of civilizations past to either learn from them or join them.

So we gather here for our requiem. To recollect, review the arguments proposed from all sides of the political spectrum against the defense of the Marriage Construct. All of our political parties, our media, our entertainers, and sadly even some of our religious leaders have abandoned fact, history, and reason for the heady, temporal approval of the popular swell of societal fads. Popularity takes precedence in a win now culture.

The writing on the wall would suggest this writer has embarked upon a lost cause. The gathering of forces against the very foundation of the nation, the defection of expected allies, and the mounting apathy and fatigue with defending the structure of life should be a signal to wave the white flag of surrender. Yet, it is a very different signal.

A signal of the mass disdain and ignorance of the very destruction this societal stupor is inflicting upon their own existence, which begs a voice to still call out a warning and fasten a hand to the lanyard of the bell that tolls the doom of a nation. These patterns in history are here for our warning. We cannot ignore what has happened to every civilization before us.

We are not exempt. We are not unique. We are human.

But here are the arguments we give. We breathlessly await our opportunity to join the ruins of humanity. Our intellectual recipe for societal suicide.

We have no right to tell people what they can do in their bedrooms. I would agree if Marriage was simply about sexual pleasure, but sex is only one facet of marriage. The Marriage Construct is the structure that every civilized society has used to safely promote the propagation and culturing of life, the building block of civilization. It is the security of the nation.

It is cruel and intolerant to say that marriage is for heterosexuals alone. That very well may be true but facts and history are usually cold and cruel. They are dead, lifeless, and enjoy the luxury of being completely devoid of emotion. The Heterosexual Marriage Tradition, The Marriage Construct, was created by heterosexuals for heterosexuals who are engaged in the activity of creating life. It belongs to the creators who designed it as the structure for the propagation and cultivation of life.

Everyone has the Right to Marriage. Wrong! Marriage is not a right. It is a Rite. It is a Religious Rite for some and a Rite of Passage for most heterosexuals. We have a right to Rites, but no one has the right to get married.

Our Constitution doesn’t protect Traditional Marriage. The document in its whole is a defense of the Marriage Construct. Not only does it explicitly protect Religious Rites and the peaceful and non-violent societal rites of the many ethnicities in our Nation, but all of our rights and liberties our predicated upon life. It is the ideal that these liberties are endowed, stamped in our being in the womb by God.

Every civilization has used its Marriage Construct to cultivate the ideals of their society into the next generations. As we decimate our Marriage Construct, so our ideals of liberty are being decimated before us. The ideals the document protects must be cultivated in the life it heralds.

We cannot push our religious beliefs on others. No, we can’t. But marriage is not a religious belief. For many throughout time’s civilizations there has been a religious aspect to the Heterosexual Marriage Tradition that gave the Rite a sense of sanctity and emphasized fidelity, but not everyone that marries and has children is religious. The Marriage Construct is the structure that every civilized society has used to safely promote the propagation and culturing of life, the building block of civilization. It is the security of the nation.

It is not going to hurt anyone to let loving couples marry. In a romance novel culture this a shock but love is not the primary purpose of marriage. In many civilizations in history, love was a by-product of marriage agreement, if you were lucky. While we should be thankful for love and its place in our societal traditions for marriage, let’s not lose sight of the fact that every healthy and growing civilization throughout history has stood upon a Marriage Construct that was focused upon the healthy propagation and cultivation of life.

We will lose elections if we defend the Marriage Construct. The foundation of our civilization should not be validated or denigrated by the ever changing winds of political expediency, polling and punditry which is historically proven wrong by the end of a political cycle. Furthermore, it is laughable that so many of our political leaders from all political parties are so blinded by the intellectual stupor of our day that they cannot see the reams of studies that conclude that the strength of a society is directly related to the strength of the heterosexual family. Whether it is this drunken stupor or by willful ignorance that we stubbornly refuse to see blaze of the trail left for us by ruins of history, the studies of learned men, and the common sense of nature, we stumble blindly on oblivious to our crumbling Empire,a self-inflicted demise.

We have to accept people just as they are. No, we don’t. This is the foundation of our nation. The means by which we cultivate life, the future of our nation. Any builder can attest without exception that compromise and acceptance of such in the foundation of a structure is a recipe for disaster.

It is Settled Law. The most ruinous and apathetically small-minded argument of all. This a Republic. There is no such thing as settled law. All laws are subject to review and repeal by the citizens of the Republic. If settled law was valid, then those who have sought and succeeded in the destruction of the Marriage Construct would have had no avenue to bring us to the destination and traverse where we now stand in debate.

Without life there is no living and without living there is no life. It is for us to decide the fate of our nation. The Tree of Liberty is dying. The cause is a simple diagnosis. Its roots of Life, its Endowment are dying.

Our political leaders are weak and afford us no hope of a cure. While they add packages to the limbs, burdening the branches to the breaking point, and prune the withering leaves, they ignore the root of the problem, our life is waning. The Marriage Construct, The Heterosexual Marriage Tradition is the protector, cultivator of that life. Without Life there is no Living, Without Living there is no Life.

The Intellectualism of Stupidity Pt 4

 

As the shrouds of mystery surrounding the ruins of Egypt are slowly inched back allowing us to peer into its dim darkened halls, the shards of pottery, fragments of papyrus, and the walls of hieroglyphs remind us who seek her clues that the Egyptians were indeed human beings. They too were susceptible to the patterns of human complacency and decadence that were so starkly apparent in the civilizations they would precede. They too would build a civilization based upon the foundation of their marriage construct, yes, Egyptians were marrying long before Christians were, focused upon the generation, preservation, and cultivation of human life.

When the allure of personal pleasure and gratification caused them to abandon and compromise their foundational construct, they faced their own decline as a repercussion. The repetitive rise and fall of the Egyptian Dynasties heralded an ominous warning for civilization to come. Abandon your foundation at your own peril for if you do all that you have built upon it will crumble into the sands of time.

The patterns exist. They are etched in time. The evidence lies before us stark and cold and who could ignore it.

But we can and we do. We of all peoples of the earth and time are without excuse with so much evidence and information before us. Mountains of knowledge we eschew in order to embrace the same patterns of collapse the have plagued past civilizations. We stumble drunkenly towards our doom heedless to the calls of Egyptian leaders who decried the collapse of the family structure predicating the falls of the Egyptian Dynasties chronicled for our warning on sacred relics in hallowed tombs or the Roman Emperor who in a decree of desperation tried to protect the Heterosexual Marriage Construct by law to save a crumbling Empire, but too late as the seeds of licentious, decadent, and immoral behavior were rooted too deep in the social fabric to bring Rome back.

Through the fog of the stupor we now find ourselves, are we so debased that we cannot perceive the evidence before us that shouts through time that marriage is not about sexual preference and personal pleasure but it is about the preservation of life? It is necessary to the security of a nation and therefore must be protected as Rome learned too late. Without life there can be no living.

The modern man mocks this truth, even in anger. Our political parties scheme and work to remove those who defend these “antiquated” ideas of life from public expression. So bent on popular appeasement they forget that fact and truth are rarely popular but necessary to stability.

Dietrich Bonhoeffer understood this in his letter on stupidity. “Stupidity is a more dangerous enemy of the good than malice. One may protest against evil; it can be exposed and, if need be, prevented by use of force. Evil always carries within itself the germ of its own subversion in that it leaves behind in human beings at least a sense of unease. Against stupidity we are defenseless. Neither protests nor the use of force accomplish anything here; reasons fall on deaf ears; facts that contradict one’s prejudgment simply need not be believed- in such moments the stupid person even becomes critical – and when facts are irrefutable they are just pushed aside as inconsequential, as incidental. In all this the stupid person, in contrast to the malicious one, is utterly self-satisfied and, being easily irritated, becomes dangerous by going on the attack. For that reason, greater caution is called for than with a malicious one. Never again will we try to persuade the stupid person with reasons, for it is senseless and dangerous.”

As Bonhoeffer watched Germany crumble, we would do well to heed his warning to the results of our craven stupor. We cling, we crave, we claw in a blind belief that we are the civilization that can transcend the laws of human descent. As we demand to avail ourselves to the opportunity to repeat the disastrous mistakes of past civilizations, we would do well to ask ourselves: Is not that the very definition of insanity?

The Intellectualism of Stupidity Pt. 3

 

Gibbon, in his time honored definitive study of the Roman Empire, offered five reasons for the fall of Rome. The first and highest impact of the five he offered was the destruction of the Heterosexual Marriage Tradition. It is incumbent upon us in a day when we are surrounded by knowledge to learn from history. Yet studies show that four out of five of modern millennials do not believe there is truth. So therein is the stupor in which we stumble drunkenly. In all our learning, will we get wisdom?

In the study of civilization past, there is perhaps none more mysterious and yet more intriguing then the Egyptian Empire. The mystery is only heightened by the fact that much of its history still lies buried in the sands of the desert. With only shards of pottery and fragments of papyrus from discovered tombs in the ever changing sands, the Silent Dynasty remains just that, silent, with only passing references found on relics from the Literary Period.

Whether you believe the Menes was the first Pharaoh or that Osiris was actually the first, who the Egyptians later deified, the fragmented references from the Literary Period acknowledge a unification of several shepherd tribes and farming communities during the Silent Period into one the most powerful empires the world has ever known, culminating in its apex at the building of the Great Pyramid. The excavations of its ruins give us only small glimpses into the shrouded genesis of Egypt, like small peeks between folds of a heavy curtain. Still, there are clues at early human behavioral patterns which are not so mysterious and not so foreign.

Ironically, the Great Pyramid initiated the beginning of the Literary Period, which would portend and document the decline and eventual sacking of the great Egyptian Empire. In all of its several dynasties, Egypt would never regain the glory which culminated with the Great Pyramid. What got it to its shining brilliance along the Nile? What precipitated its fall?

In the walls of the tombs and written on clay jars among the possessions of the dead are hints of the triggers of decline. Leaders of the day decry in disgust that the youths have no structure and run through the villages in mobs looking for people to kill. Angry youths with no family structure and discipline would be a recurring theme for the rise and fall of civilization in those that would follow Egypt.

The marriage structure, as detailed during the Literary Period, was much simpler than what we have come to expect in our day. There was no ceremony, although Egyptians loved celebrations and one would expect they would find any excuse for a party and revelry. The couple merely signed an agreement and the woman moved in.

Although by the time of the Literary Period divorce was quite prevalent, there was still a strong social stigma, a societal expectation of fidelity attached to the marriage construct. This was taught as necessary to the stability of their society. Even though the religious and traditional celebrations tended to be quite hedonistic in their rituals, the Heterosexual Marriage Tradition, on which the Egyptian Empire was built, was set aside with a code of fidelity to ensure the stable propagation and culturing of life for the future security of the empire.

The Intellectualism of Stupidity Pt 2

The very basic essence of a civilization is the secure propagation of Life. Our Constitution describes it as “to insure the domestic tranquility”. It has become a matter of debate for our civilization as to whether it is Constitutional to defend the traditional structure of marriage. I would counter that the whole of the Constitution was designed to defend that structure. You cannot ensure the domestic tranquility unless you have a domestic to insure.

Still, the argument will be that domestic tranquility was in reference to the early colonists’ way of living, their desire for freedom. Some would argue that their patterns of commerce, trade, and the free market thereof were the ideas behind domestic tranquility. My response is that there is no living without Life. Commerce, trade, the free market of ideas, all things libertarian cannot survive unless there is an assurance of the stable propagation of Life, which can maintain our living.

Our Founders understood this and created an entire document dedicated to the preservation of Life, “to insure the domestic tranquility”, and the Freedoms inherent, “endowed”, to it. All of our Freedoms, our Unalienable Rights, are predicated on and activated by Life. But the modern man looks to the document or the government it creates as the actuator of Rights, not Life and certainly not God. It is this present stupor that breeds the inane argument that the Framers of the Constitution, those learned men, provided no protection for the most basic foundation of civilized Life, the marriage construct, and instead, despite all the evidence afforded them through their extensive study of the history of civilization, allowed for the desolation and destruction of their new Nation, at it’s onset, as an expression of Liberty.

The haze of modern intellectualism has made it difficult for us to understand the basics of Life it would seem. Yes, the Birds and the Bees. The Founding Fathers understood what we do not, that the basic building blocks of a civilization are babies.

In this series of articles, I will have more earth shattering revelations and profundities. Stay tuned for “It’s not just Christians that get married” and “Christians weren’t the only ones who built civilizations”. The research was daunting but I persevered.

This is a true statement: You can’t make a civilization if you can’t make a baby. You can’t build a civilization if you can’t build a baby. That is to say that in order to construct anything you need a stable framework on which to build. Our Heterosexual Marriage Traditions are that framework, yet we are willfully ignorant of the fundamentals of Life.

Its important to realize that when we say that the marriage construct is fundamental to civilization, its because it predates said civilization. The Heterosexual Marriage Tradition birthed civilization because it birthed Life. Because there was Life there had to be a way to live and, therefore, the Heterosexual Marriage Tradition predates civilized law, including our Constitution.

The idea that the Constitution validates our marriage tradition is flawed. The Heterosexual Marriage Tradition validates the Constitution for it provides the Life which activates the Rights the Document defends. If the fundamental structure to raise Life remains strong and intact then the Life it breeds remains strong and productive giving the society strength to flourish. If the fundamental life structure of the society is damaged then the society begins to wither and fail. The Heterosexual Marriage Tradition is the security of the Nation.
