Silence is Golden, Still

Democrats are laying the whip to the foundations of our Republic. Those who represent us are either standing aside in mute obeisance or taking their beating in silence. What can be learned from the whimpers of the cowed, distant in the still?

Representative Ocasio-Cortez has laid down the law. The gauntlet has been thrown. The new leader of the Democrats has taken charge.

Moderate Democrats have been given notice. Voting in any way that represents your District, but does not represent the Democrat agenda, will result in being blacklisted. How will Jared Golden, who campaigned on standing up to his Party, respond?

Jared Golden voted against the gun control bill, even making a public statement that the bill did not reflect the will of his constituents. This prompted a swift rebuke from the new leader of Green Deals. Stepping out of the new green lock-step will find you on the Ocasio-Cortez naughty list.

There is an expectation, in a Republic, that the Representative should attempt to represent. Should a Representative speak to power in defense of those in his District? Not if the Democrat Party holds its sway over Golden.

Imagine in this Republic, being placed on a blacklist for attempting to represent your constituents. Imagine that Representative already too cowed and bullied to issue a public response, a rebuke for this travesty of overreach. Imagine no more! If you listen to the reality, you will hear the still and quiet that surrounds the silence that is Golden.

The Helpless The Agony

As with so many others, I felt the helpless agony of watching, during the most sacred and holy week of Christendom, the martyrdom of so many of my brothers and sisters and little brothers and sisters in Christ around the world. While we of Christian faith understand through the warnings in the teachings of Christ that we will be hated of all nations, our humanity recoils when we see the depravity of that hatred so unleashed and so unchecked.

It has certainly has not been a good week to be a Christian anywhere in the world. Over and over again, the world has watched these debaucheries be vomited out before our eyes. We wonder and exclaim how mankind can be capable of all things heinous? Where is the strength of righteousness nations to stand against it all? In the depths of the hollow silence to the question, all we hear are the deepest agonies and travails of mothers weeping for their children who are no more.

For the righteous nations are no more

They recoil and shudder on their own shore

They excuse and they ponder

While filth rape and plunder

And children accept their death with grace

What leaders here cannot with courage face

Are the righteous nations righteous no more?

Who will stand if our courage is poor?

Mothers and Fathers whose arms ache to hold

Their children whose lifeless still bodies so cold

Their blood is now calling From the ground of their falling

While we stand debating Our leaders are waiting

To find who has courage in deed

Committees addressing the need

Death marches on Screeching its song

We wonder whats wrong? What’s taking so long?

To say what is right.

Stand up against the night

Rabid dogs howl they know that its true

There is no one standing and fighting for you

For the righteous nations are no more

They recoil and shudder on their own shore

It hasn’t really helping the courage of Christianity in our own land that we constantly face the betrayal of our leaders here, such as the Governor of Georgia, in the face of mounting persecution here in the United States. We must call for courage in our leaders and then remove them when they do not exude the leadership we demand.

Republicans Show What They Are Made Of….Again

The Republicans are showing once again that in the face of adversity they cannot pass up an opportunity to cower and concede.  The Republican Party of Indiana has given the rest of the Nation a flaming example of what feckless leadership looks like.  After passing a bill to protect people of faith from being targeted and persecuted for their faith, the Republicans, in the face of protest from such upstanding citizens as Miley Cyrus, have amended the law to say that people of faith are protected from targeting and persecution until they are targeted and persecuted for their faith.  Then all bets are off.  In other words, we are back to where we were. You are allowed Freedom of Religion as long as you shut-up about it and don’t act like you believe anything. The “new freedom” trumps all other Freedoms.

Of course there will be protests.  Whenever you make a stand there is bound to be opposition.  There Republicans never cease to amaze as they climb to new heights of cowardice. This is why the Nation is steadily losing faith in the Republican Party. They cannot be trusted in the heat of battle.
